Cookie and Privacy

I need to hold some personal information on my clients in order to run Hi Top Design effectively. I take this seriously and manage all personal data in line with GDPR and best practice guidance from the ICO (www.ico.org.uk). If you ever have concerns about how your information is being handled, you can raise a complaint with them directly.

This page explains what I collect, why I collect it, and how I look after it. Legal pages aren't the most exciting read, but they're important - so I've kept it as straightforward as possible.

What information I collect

When you work with me or get in touch, I may collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, and any other details you provide as part of a project brief or enquiry.

If you contact me through the website form, your name, email address, and message are stored by Squarespace and used solely to respond to your enquiry.

If you sign up to receive emails or updates from me, your email address will be stored and used only for that purpose.

How I use your information

I use the information I hold for the following purposes:

To contact you about active or upcoming projects. To send you invoices and manage payments. To send occasional marketing emails about services, news, or updates from Hi Top Design - you can opt out of these at any time. To share relevant project details with third parties where necessary (for example, a copywriter or printer working on your project). In these cases, only the information needed for that specific task is shared.

Your information is never sold or passed to any third party for marketing purposes.

How I store your information

Client information is stored securely on password-protected systems with two-factor authentication. Access is limited to me as the sole director of Hi Top Design LTD. Data is routinely backed up to a secure location.

I retain client information for as long as it's needed for the purposes described above. If you'd like your information deleted, just let me know and I'll remove it promptly.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to request a copy of the personal information I hold about you, ask for your information to be corrected or updated, ask for your information to be deleted, withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications at any time, and raise a complaint with the ICO if you feel your data isn't being handled appropriately.

To exercise any of these rights, contact me at robin@hitopdesign.com.

Cookies

This website uses cookies - small text files stored on your device - to help improve your experience and understand how the site is being used.

I use performance cookies, primarily through Google Analytics, to collect anonymous information about how visitors use the site. This includes things like which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and whether any errors occur. This data helps me improve the website and is not used to identify individual visitors.

For more information on how Google Analytics uses cookies, visit Google's cookie usage page. For Google Analytics' privacy policy, visit their privacy page.

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies - though this may affect how some parts of the site work.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date below.
