PEOPLE’S PRIDE SOUTHAMPTON

By the people, for the people. People’s Pride Southampton is a non-profit organisation supporting LGBT people. When they started their full pride event, Party in the Park, I got involved.

I was asked to help make People’s Pride Southampton’s pride events look professional and inviting whilst being accessible for everyone.

My first festival…

Remember back in 2021? We were coming out of lockdowns and big outdoor events were just starting up. My business was still in it’s infancy and I was looking for small Pride events which I could take my market stall to to sell my Mushroom Pride Pins and my prints (See my Etsy store).

After seeing the poster and designs in place for the event I had to offer my services to help Jake and the rest of the team make this event as awesome as it deserved to be.

For the first event I produced their event program and poster. The next year I worked closely with the team to produce the full suite of designs needed for the event. When you hear feedback from attendees saying they came because the graphics grabbed their attention, that is a great feeling.
